Rhoda and Hannah make a list of men they would refuse to date – it includes, but is not limited to: men named Dwayne or Bruce; men who have the high strange laugh of a distant loon; men who bring index cards with prewritten conversation starters on a first date. What qualities might you assiduously avoid in a romantic partner?

I have never been able to date anyone shorter than me. deal breaker.
aside from like extreme body hair, bad breath, or stinky body odor, my only other deal breakers would be racism and sexism, but those last two take us from the realm of laughing about "weird" possible dating mates to more serious social issues. I'll stop there.
Deal breakers for men:
-Anyone named Larry, Harry, or James
-Anyone with more than one baby momma
-Anyone too skinny. ('Too' is relative)
Deal breakers for women:
-Anyone too needy or codependent
-Anyone not comfortable with being lesbian
-Anyone not financially responsible
My mom always told me to be careful who I fell in love with. If he is too tall, I'd end up looking at his nose hairs the rest of my life (my Dad was almost a foot taller than my mom before old age shrinkage).
When I was 12 or so, the pastor's wife lead us through the book "Lady in Waiting." At the end we had to make a list of things we wanted in a husband and we were supposed to stay true to those desires so as to pick the perfect husband.
Among my desirables: a man of God, had to drive a truck, must hunt/fish. I'd say I had my priorities all wrong back then, but since Dan was none of these things, well............
I'm not a fan of men that are shorter than me either.
I'm also not a fan of overly skinny men. I don't want to feel like I'm going to break him if I sit on his lap.
To add to the amazing list you guys have already started, I will add that I wouldn't want to date someone who told nasty jokes and/or someone who thought it was my duty to submit to him (I'm not talking about a mutual submission, which I think can be good for a marriage. I'm talking about the I tell you what to do and make all the decisions kind of submission.) Ick.
